The Prayer Blanket Ministry meets on the 4th Thursday of each month from 7:00-9:00 P.M.. Each blanket is cut and tied around the edges. As each knot is tied, a prayer is said for the individual who will receive the blanket. The blanket includes a set of personal prayer cards for the recipient as well. If you would like a blanket made for someone before then, please contact Corrie Klein 510-657-0408. (A $25 donation would be appreciated.) all Women are welcome to come help make prayer blankets and join in a fun evening of fellowship.

PRAYER BLANKETS

New Hope Community Church made a prayer blanket for little Ella who is only two years old. Ella is Michelle Maynard’s daughter, and Michelle is Dianne Chapman’s cousin. We were recently blessed with a wonderful card from Michelle that we wanted to share with you all. Please continue to keep Ella and her family in prayer, as Ella continues to recover.

Dear Members of New Hope Community Church,

I can’t begin to explain how touched Phil and I were when Dianne, Tony and Marina brought the lovely prayer blanket and multitudes of prayers for Ella to us at our family’s Easter brunch.

The love and kindness touched our family (including my brothers, my mother, and cousin), that we were all brought to tears.

The first surgery was tough – but Ella (2 years old) was a trouper and though the doctors were only expecting 20%-30% recovery of her arterial lungs, she got almost 100%, which is a first in this area at least.

Ella is back at the hospital today as they put her arteries and lungs together as they should be. Once recovered, she should be able to live a normal happy life. This time she has her prayer blanket with her and we brought some of your prayers with us.

I am sorry it took so long to write this note, but my family is truly grateful for the love and support.

Warmly,

Michelle, Phil and Ella Maynard
